Sunset policy
On 6th May 2002, Quicken Australia discontinued live support for older versions of the Quicken range in order to focus our resources on supporting more current products.  The result was a better customer experience for many customers.  From this point on, Quicken will now adopt a policy of periodically sunsetting older versions of Quicken software in the sense of no longer continuing to provide live support to those versions.  This policy means, moving forward, that live technical support will be available only for the most current version and for the version immediately preceding it.  For example from April, 2007, we provide support for QuickBooks 2006/07 and QuickBooks 2007/08.

Tax Table & Compliance Update Policy
In order to keep up with continuous changes to payroll tax and government legislation, and to focus our resources on providing our best service to customers on the most current version of software, Quicken will only provide compliance and tax table updates to the latest version of the software. If you do not upgrade to the latest version you may not be compliant with Australian Government requirements. We recommend that you join the Quicken Advantage program or purchase a subscription version of the software, both of which includes free updates and upgrades as they become available. Advantage membership also includes free weekday technical support

Exception
One exception to the Sunset Policy is where users on sunset versions are seeking to upgrade to the current version.  To the extent that you may encounter problems in this staged upgrading process, live support will be available to assists users onto the current version.

When a version is sunsetted or retired, Quicken will inform users via this website.  As we update this website periodically, it is important for you to visit us from time to time to note new information as it becomes available.
