The QuickBooks QBi series ignites nationwide enthusiasmThis year, tax time won’t be the headache and heartache it usually is for thousands of accountants, bookkeepers and business owners. That’s because they participated in the QuickBooks QBi series Roadshow – a just-completed Australia-wide tour which introduced the new QuickBooks QBi series accounting and financial management software. The full-day Roadshow events played to packed houses in Townsville, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Bendigo, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Newcastle and Sydney. Additional seating, and even a change to a larger venue in Melbourne, was required to accommodate attendees inspired over the software’s new functionality and ease of use. “(Learning) about the Google desktop search function, payroll and accountant functions were most helpful,” said Gail Seib of Alert Accounting in Townsville, which opened the Roadshow on the 12th of May. Each Roadshow event was comprised of two sessions: the first launched the QuickBooks QBi series software. The second provided in-depth product training which took attendees through the hundreds of enhancements that have been specifically designed to improve productivity and profitability while helping users to achieve a desirable work-life balance. These features include customisable reports and desktop displays, adjustable columns on almost every window, personalised icon bars and enhanced form templates. In addition, the new home page design makes navigating around the software easier than ever by harnessing the latest technology to ensure virtually every function is no more than two mouse clicks away. “It’s two clicks to anywhere,” said Sonia Barron of Townsville’s Water Treatment Services. Teresa Dickenson of Com-Pat Construction in Townsville valued training on the new Customer and Supplier centres and payroll functionality. Irene Stringer of nearby Courtney Dental cited the addition of reports to track all years of a company’s business. Gail Houghton of FirstclassAccounts Park Ridge in Robina, Qld. praised the software’s payroll changes, reporting and the Accountants Copy. Others credited the product’s ease of use and friendly navigation in simplifying the entire accounting process. Speakers at The QuickBooks QBi series Roadshow included Clayton Oates, managing director at leading national IT business and accounting consultancy QA Business; entertainer Ella James, and Gavin Dixon, CEO of Reckon Limited’s Business Division. Dixon has a track record of successful entrepreneurial ventures to his credit and he the former ANZ Sales Director for Intentia Australia, an enterprise management software provider.
